Why you should give your passion another chance.
It’s never too late to pick up a lost passion.
What if you committed these next 3 months to learning an instrument/s? Where would you be? How much can you learn?
How far can you stretch yourself?
I recently heard this quote by Devon Franklin that said, “Go, see and experience the desires in your heart for yourself.”
Go, make a move with that burning desire in your heart of what you want to do.
See, how far you reach, climb to your dream and the endless impossibilities of where it can take you.
Experience, the different emotions of seeing your imaginations come to life. The dreams that you see with your internal eyes, that no one else can see but it seems so real to you whenever you think about it.
What is that thing for you?
Personally, this is to become a skilled musician and vocalist.
Though it's been easy for me to sing and use my vocals to create music, I fell in love with the idea of being to play along to the songs I sang.
Inspired to pick up an instrument, I persuaded my mum to buy me a guitar at 17 and went on this journey to learn.
Somewhere along my learning process, I stopped and put it down for a while. And though, the prompting would be there to pick up the guitar and play, I’d ignore it or do something else instead.
Then I realised, my fear of failing to learn the guitar to my own expectations slowed down my progress.
I truly believe our age shouldn’t stop us from becoming or living the life we’ve hoped for.
However, do realise that this will take hard work and dedication, but you’ll feel accomplished and at ease to know you didn’t give up.
Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty. – Proverbs 21:5
Plan, work hard and see the beauty of your work.
I’m making a commitment to these next few years to be ones of reigniting my passion for learning the guitar, piano as well as still singing.
Would be willing to make the same commitment?
To your dream? Your passion?
The thing that you go to bed thinking about and wake up wondering whether this can be possible?
What is the one thing you’ll pick back up again?
I’d love to hear of some of things you’ll picking up, that you stopped doing because of fear of failure or internal insecurities.
Lots of love, Annette
